Invitation

The President, Mrs. ‘Seyi Ifaturoti and Council members of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) invite you and members of your organisation to the 35th Annual Education Conference & Exhibition scheduled to hold from Tuesday 13th June to Thursday 15th June, 2006 in the Congress Hall, Transcorp (NICON) Hilton, Abuja.

Conference theme:

Recapitalization, Consolidation and Corporate Rebranding of the Nigerian Insurance Industry”.

This theme is aptly chosen to beam the search-light on emerging issues in the on-going reforms in the insurance sub-sector and further equip key operators and stakeholders in their bid to evolve ways and means of meeting the prescribed capital requirements within the time-frame stipulated by the consolidation time table. The industry mood is palpably pensive for reasons bordering on the complex footpath which insurance managers ought to tread before arriving at the desired destination. The conference theme subsumes the key issues and areas of concern as follows:

  • Issues in Investor Relations
  • Issues in Corporate Governance
  • Issues in Human Resources Development.
  • Issues in Media Relations
  • Issues in Regulatory Matters

The conference theme and sub-themes will be addressed by respected faculties and experts in their areas of core competence.

Guest speakers:

1. Chief O. E. Chukwulozie, Commissioner for Insurance

2. Mr. Foluso Phillips, Managing Consultant, Phillips Consulting Limited

3. Mr. Abraham Laleye, Managing Consultant, Robins Begg Consulting Limited.

4. Mr. F. Mobolurin, Capital Bancorp Limited
