Overview
Regardless of your career stage, being a senior member at the Chartered Institute of Insurance in Nigeria is an asset that will distinguish you in the field and enhance your credibility and effectiveness.

Applicants for admission as Senior Members of the Institute must;

— Either be members of the Insurance Industry holding positions not below that of General Manager but without insurance professional qualification. OR

— Holders of Insurance Professional qualifications from non-commonwealth countries. OR

— Professionals in other fields who have been in the insurance industry for at least fifteen (15) years, and are not below the rank of senior manager in any Insurance Company, Broking or Loss Adjusting firm.

— Be at least thirty (30) years old.

— Complete an application form here

— Pay a non-refundable application fee of ₦5,000 (Five thousand naira) only.

— Submit evidence of attestation to good character by the employer. (On the letterhead)

— On notification of admission, pay an admission fee of ₦50,000 (Fifty thousand naira) only.
